# Cylc 7.9.4 and 7.8.9 Released

**cylc-7.9.4** and **cylc-7.8.9** are now [available on GitHub](https://github.com/cylc/cylc-flow/releases)

Highlights:

- several minor bug fixes,
- **won’t mess with Cylc 8 workflows, to help with the transition to Cylc 8**

Note the `cylc review` job log viewer is now compatible with Cylc 8, which won’t have equivalent functionality until some time after the initial 8.0 release.

These will (probably!) be the final Cylc 7 releases. They are identical except that 7.9.4 comes with a newer version of Jinja2 that requires Python 2.7.
