# Open gcylc on someone else's running suites?

Is it possible to open gcylc and look at someone else’s running suites’ log files etc?

Yes, at Cylc 7 you can authorize read-only access to your suites, or you can share the passphrase file to give full control access. (Cylc 8 has proper fine-grained authorization for cross-user access … coming soon).
However, if you just want to look at job logs etc., `cylc review` (formerly `rose bush`) is better for that.

ok coolio, thanks for that. i’ve been working with a colleague and looking at the job scripts etc manually but wanted to look at the cylc gui etc. i’ll take a look at the passphrase file and read-only access options…
