# Tip: Experimental features in Cylc 8.6+

You can now choose to preview _experimental features_ that will become the default in future releases, without fully committing (in case problems become apparent).

We encourage everyone to check new releases for experimental features, if any, and _try them_ - it’s better to catch problems and provide feedback early, when you can still easily back out.
