# Tip: held and retry indicators in the workflows sidebar

As of [cylc-flow 8.6.2 and cylc-uiserver 1.8.2](https://cylc.discourse.group/t/cylc-8-6-released/1249/10), the workflows sidebar in the GUI now displays indicators for [held](https://cylc.github.io/cylc-doc/stable/html/glossary.html#term-held-task) and [retrying](https://cylc.github.io/cylc-doc/stable/html/glossary.html#term-retry) tasks.

These icons will show if there are any held or retrying tasks in the [active window](https://cylc.github.io/cylc-doc/stable/html/glossary.html#term-active-window) (i.e, if you hold a task ahead of the workflow, the icon will only display when Cylc reaches the task and its held status begins to impact the workflow).
