What setting keeps cylc workflows active?

hi there,

some workflows of mine stay active for much longer than others after all active tasks have failed.

can somebody point me to the variable(s) which control this please?

for context when debugging workflows it is often useful to have the workflows active for some time.

By default, workflows abort after the stall timeout: abort on stall timeout
The default stall timeout is 1hr: stall timeout
