A new feature in v1.4 of the Cylc 8 GUI is the “Edit Runtime” command. This allows you to edit the [runtime] section of a task or family at a particular cycle point.
This is a convenient alternative to the Broadcast command. It is similar to the old “trigger-edit” functionality of Cylc 7, except:
- Any edits you make will persist for every time you trigger that task at that cycle point
- Triggering is done separately
- Families can now be edited as well as tasks
v1.4 of the UI is bundled with cylc-uiserver 1.2
