Setting up Rosie

Hi,

I am trying to do the Rosie tutorial but haven’t been able to figure out how to configure it. I read that I should use the prefix https://code.metoffice.gov.uk but am not sure how exactly to put this information in rose.conf, or where the rose.conf file should live (just somewhere in the path?).

Currently I get “cannot determine prefix location” errors, so need to set the prefix in order to continue with the tutorial.

I’m using Rose 2.0.1.

I tried using the conf file

[rosie-id]
prefix-location.u=https://code.metoffice.gov.uk

but then get “settings not defined in site/user configuration”.

Note that the rosie command has not been well tested in Rose 2.
For the moment we recommend using Rose 2019.01 if you need to use rosie.
The cylc wrapper script (also used for running the rose and rosie commands) contains logic to support this.
